???? How You Should Use Sundays?!
Sundays are a bit weird, especially when you’re an employee.
They’re, by definition, the end of the week (in the western world).
Most people don’t have work on Sundays – but know that they have work tomorrow.
My dad always says that there needs to be a day when the world comes to a rest, a forced rest. Well, he’s Christian, so it’s Sunday. In contrast, Muslims value their Friday, and Jews their Saturday.
But still… Most people waste their Sundays. They just sit around doing nothing.
???? Look, I’m all for deciding on an hour, a day, a week, or even a month to completely reset your mind and body. But it has to be purposeful and not just being a vegetable since there’s nothing better to do on a day in the calendar.
A better way to use Sundays are these three steps:
1️⃣ Reflect
Track what you’ve done during the week and then reflect on Sundays.
How have you spent your time?
Have you been following the principles and rules that you’ve set yourself?
Are you advancing towards your goals?
2️⃣ Reevaluate
Now that you know what you’ve done, it’s time to check what you could’ve done differently and what you should do differently in the future.
Notice your mistakes – and find a solution! It’s okay to make mistakes (obviously), but you need to try never to repeat them.
Is your routine helping you to achieve your goals? If not, what needs to change?
Maybe get up earlier or say “no” to things that aren’t good for you.
3️⃣ Plan
Now that you know what you’ve been doing, and know what you have been doing ➡️ create a plan!
Have a structure you can follow!
Come up with a plan to do more/less of what you were/weren’t doing to do more/less of the things you want/don’t want to do.
And then go out. Meet friends. Work out. Follow a hobby. Go on a hike. Work on your goals.
Sundays shouldn’t be wasted!
☕ And yes, I’m writing this from a café…doing work…because that’s what I do, and that’s what gets me closer to my goals.
What does your Sunday look like?????
