???????? What do I love most about conferences?
The people!
Encountering familiar and unfamiliar faces at these gatherings brings me immense joy. It always provides me with an additional surge of motivation, and I return with even greater determination.
The iGaming industry is wonderfully diverse.
Not only are there affiliates, operators, slot developers, and software providers, which makes for a different approach to the services we can offer with Translation Royale and WeGotGame.
But you also meet people from all walks of life and from many different cultures.
Sooo…here’s the part my caption for LinkedIn that I can’t use since Instagram is cropping the photos too much if I upload more than one… ????
(((To name businesses alone, you can see Spinza, Aviatrix, and Streams Horizon here.
If you look at the people though, in these photos alone, you can find Germans, Australians, Swedes, British, and Czechs, all having a good time and engaging in conversations that extend beyond business to life in general.)))
Now you only see @lucilly88 from @aviatrix_game and @translation.royale / WeGotGame Co-founder Britta Jungen.
At least, that’s the case when you engage with me and my team. ????
On the other hand, one of the worst interactions is when some people go in straight for the sale. It’s disheartening, even. And when they realize they can’t sell to you, they basically leave the conversation.
It’s hard to understand why I would want to do business with someone who doesn’t have the common decency to engage in a normal conversation.
???? Here’s my pro tip for any event:
Don’t prioritize sales! Aim for positive interactions.
This is how you actually build a network – because the network is between people and not sales KPIs.
What’s your take on conferences and trade fairs? Do you enjoy them? Let me know in the comments.
