Here’s a better way of saying it: There’s no intrinsic meaning to life.

This doesn’t mean that life is meaningless!

But life itself just is…without meaning.
ㅤ
You have to give your life meaning. Yourself. By yourself.
ㅤ
You have to find out what gets you up in the morning.
ㅤ
Only you can do that.
ㅤ
One of the best ways to do it is by finding your Ikigai.
ㅤ
Ikigai is the intersection of something you’re good at, you like doing, you’ll get paid for, and that brings value to others.
ㅤ
Sometimes you’ll only find an intersection of threes, which could be enough if you’re happy with it.
ㅤ
Humans suffer. I know it doesn’t sound great, but it is what it is.
ㅤ
We don’t suffer all the time every time.
ㅤ
But to me, my Ikigai has always been to help others with their problems by offering different perspectives, help, or training.
ㅤ
I love bringing value to other people’s lives and elevating theirs along the way.
ㅤ
Be it back then as a basketball coach, building my businesses with ethics and my team members in mind, listening to friends, or brightening the days of others.
ㅤ
Does this have to be your Ikigai? Certainly not. Yours could be programming, project managing, or watching cat videos.
ㅤ
But it’s the reason why I do what I do and live how I live.
ㅤ
That’s why you see me posting motivational, inspirational posts here. Maybe not as much as others, but more than most.
ㅤ
