They judged the developer before the building.

Investors and buyers needed more confidence in the developer before committing. I helped make its experience, capabilities and project logic easier to assess.

9% to 15%Investor-meeting conversion

Investor-meeting conversion rose from around 9% to 15%, while buyer inquiry-to-reservation moved from approximately 5% to 9%. The engagement also records sell-through of around 15 months against a previous pace of roughly 23 months. These figures describe the projects in this case, rather than a promised timeline for another development.

What the business needed.

This Kuala Lumpur developer had viable projects, but both investors and property buyers were hesitant to commit. Its identity, website and supporting materials offered little reassurance about its ability to deliver. The engagement focused on helping those audiences understand the business behind the development.

Where progress was getting stuck.

An investor and a home buyer needed different information, but both had to form a view of the developer before putting money in. The materials did too little to explain its track record, capabilities and the logic behind each project. That made an already significant decision harder to assess.

How I helped.

  • I reset the positioning and directed a new identity and website, giving people a more coherent introduction to the developer.
  • I rebuilt the investor narrative around the evidence needed to assess the business and its projects.
  • I structured buyer-facing content and a consistent presentation across the places where people encountered the company.

What changed for the business.

Where I took responsibility.

I led commercial positioning and the narrative, deciding what the brand, website, investor materials and content needed to explain and substantiate. Brand and graphic design, web development and content specialists produced the work to my briefs. My contribution concerned how the developer was understood and assessed, while the client remained responsible for its projects.

Could this help your business?

If customers must commit before they can experience what you deliver, they need evidence that helps them assess you. I can help you identify the questions behind that decision and give your website, materials and conversations a clearer answer.

An anonymized engagement. Figures are rounded from client reporting and engagement records.

What would you like to change?

You may already know what needs to change, or you may be trying to work out why progress has slowed. Tell me a little about your business and what you want to achieve, and let’s see where I can help.
