When the promise is difficult to believe.

Prospective customers needed a more candid explanation of the offer. I helped rebuild the sales approach and follow-up so people could assess whether it suited them.

Sales infrastructure rebuiltPositioning and follow-up, with an early financial model

The work described here was implemented. The financial targets are shown separately from the results already recorded.

What the business needed.

The education business depended heavily on a book funnel and Meta advertising. Prospects were skeptical of strong claims, and the primary acquisition channel was nearing its effective spend ceiling. The engagement looked at how people assessed the offer and what happened to the inquiries already coming in.

Where progress was getting stuck.

People needed to understand the effort, conditions and limits involved before deciding whether to buy. Existing follow-up also left inquiries without the attention or structure they needed. A more candid sales conversation and a better contact process were useful starting points before adding another acquisition channel.

How I helped.

  • I redesigned the sales approach to explain trade-offs and suitability earlier, helping a prospective customer assess the offer on a more realistic basis.
  • I designed lead scoring and a more structured contact process, so the team could give inquiries an appropriate level of attention.
  • I directed sales training and sales-operations specialists, alongside an expanded closing team, to put the approach and supporting infrastructure into practice.

The work delivered and the financial target.

The revised sales approach and supporting infrastructure were implemented. Early client data supported a model for improving the lifetime-value-to-acquisition-cost ratio from around 1.4 towards 2.2. That ratio remains a projection on early data, rather than an achieved full-period result.

The 2.2 lifetime-value-to-acquisition-cost ratio is a projection on early data. The sales and operational changes were implemented.

Where I took responsibility.

I diagnosed the commercial issues and designed the sales and follow-up approach. A sales trainer worked with the team on the new conversations, and a sales-operations specialist built the technical infrastructure to my direction. I did not operate the ad accounts or handle the sales calls.

Could this help your business?

If people are interested but wary of the promise, help them understand the conditions of the offer and look at how your team follows up. I can help you make that decision clearer for the buyer and build a more useful process around the inquiries you already receive.
